San Diego, CA (October 4, 2005) - RenovationExperts.com a premium network of over 3000 remodeling contractors in conjunction with Qualified Remodeler, has just published the 2005 Homeowner Satisfaction Survey. The survey aggregated the responses of over 700 homeowners who had hired a contractor within the last 6 months. Homeowners where surveyed across the country and where asked 17 different questions about the remodeling process and the contractors they hired.
Some of the most alarming statistics released where that 34% of the homeowners did not trust the service professional they hired and another 48% would not rehire the same professional in the future. However, over 85% did feel that the contractor was polite and courteous and 77% felt they where well informed by the contractor as the project progressed. According to the National Association of Consumer Agency Administrators the remodeling industry has nearly the highest level of complaints registered by consumers each year and this report did little to dispel that fact.
Company President Craig Lucas stated, “Studies like this are very important to our industry as they help contractors learn how to satisfy homeowners.” Director of MAR/COM Lorraine Kotyk stated that, “Homeowners need to hire a contractor who is more than just polite and courteous, but is also a person they can trust.”
